Job Description

Fronditha Care is a longstanding Aged Care Provider that focuses on providing unique, culturally and linguistically diverse services, offering residential and Community Services to elderly people of predominantly Greek speaking background in Victoria and multilingual background in New South Wales.

We are looking to hear from candidates who wish to provide in-home care and support to their local community and help improve the quality of life for our clients and their families by re-abling and assisting them to remain in their homes.

Our organisation is seeing an ongoing growth within our Community Services area and the need for a highly motivated, Elite group of Home Care Support Workers is more important than ever before.

Requirements

The position of a Home Care Support Worker is responsible for the following, but not limited to:

Personal Care: bathing/showering, assistance with dressing/undressing, assistance with toileting and other mobility assistance as required.

Domestic Support; Cleaning, mopping, dusting, laundering, ironing and other light household duties

Meal Preparation: provide assistance with culturally specific meals or planning

Escorted or unescortedoutings: transportation to medical appointments, shopping or as required

Respite: companionship, conversation or other activities as deemed appropriate.

Requirements

    To succeed in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria, but not limited to:

    • Certificate III or IV in Ageing Support or Home amp; Community Care or working to the equivalent
    • Current First Aid amp; CPR Certificates or willingness to work towards obtaining one
    • Access to insured vehicle
    • Current Australian drivers licence
    • X2 work related references
    • Willingness to travel
    • Availability to work minimum 20 hours / week
    • Current National Police Check
    • Bi-lingual skills in English and Greek (desirable)
