Digital Designer (UI)

Job Description
Catch has a new role within our Creative division and are looking for a Digital Designer (UI) to join the team.You’ll be working with the best minds in the industry, creating wireframes, designs and prototypes to support the growth of our websites and digital platforms.
We’re after someone who is passionate about design, but also a strategic thinker who understands user behaviour and the value of conversion optimisation and customer experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with team members
- Design user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Wireframing and producing low and high fidelity UI prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours and images
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience designing mobile and web interfaces
- You’ll have an understanding of design for responsive interfaces, applying a mobile-first methodology
- You’ll have experience in ensuring UI consistency and maintaining style guides
- You’ll be able to communicate clearly about the design and exchange constructive critique with peers
- You’ll have a passion for results and bring a creative flair and a love of what you do
- You’ll have a keen eye for detail and be able to manage your time efficiently and independently
- You’ll bring with you an understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma; and basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
Bonus points if you have
- Bonus points for UX/UI courses or certificates
- Experience building cross-browser amp; cross-platform responsive designs
- Understanding of customer journeys within retail
Process
