ABOUT CRUISE WHITSUNDAYS
Cruise Whitsundays, owned and operated by Journey Beyond, brings the majestic Whitsundays Islands National Park and the Great Barrier Reef to life by offering a variety of incredible day cruise experiences and activities. We also own and operate ReefWorld, including Australia’s only under water accommodation. We are also proud to provide an essential community transfer service between the major islands, the airport and the mainland.
WHAT’S THE OPPORTUNITY?
Based in Airlie Beach and reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the General Manager is responsible for leading and managing the success of the business end to end, with full Pamp;L responsibility.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
You will be an accomplished leader and an agent for change, with an ability to positively influence and effect continuous improvement. You see a business through the people, through the numbers, but mostly, through the experience of visitors to the Whitsundays. You will also build strong regional relationships, add value to the tourism sector and you will take very seriously, the responsibility of providing an important community service. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the business and its people continue to deliver operational excellence.

Ideally you will have an understanding of the travel and tourism industry, and have had some exposure to the Marine industry, but this is not essential.
