About the Opportunity
Journey Beyond is currently seeking experienced, highly skilled and passionate Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics located in Broome. This position is central to ensuring the highest safety and service standards to deliver servicing and maintenance for our premium Outback Spirit service fleet vehicles. The role will report directly to the Fleet amp; Service Manager in Broome.
The successful candidates will pride themselves in safety and service standards. You will also have extensive knowledge and experience of service and maintenance requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Regular fleet servicing
- Fleet maintenance of heavy and lighter vehicles
- Performing mechanical diagnosis
- Field service, communicating with Tour Drivers in breakdown situations via phone support and on road on call as required
- Stock take and ordering of parts
- Ensure safe and efficient workshop operations
About You
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) drivers’ licence
- Exceptional safety focus and understanding
- Excellent mechanical knowledge
- High level of integrity and ability to work unsupervised
- Hands on approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Mercedes Benz heavy vehicle and light 4WD is advantageous
