Job Description
Rural Funds Management Limited (RFM) is a specialist agricultural fund manager with over two-decades of experience. RFM manages multiple investment vehicles for over 16,000 investors, including the Rural Funds Group (RFF), an ASX-300 real estate investment trust. RFF owns over $1 billion of agricultural assets which are located across most Australian states.

About the opportunity
We have an opportunity for a full-time analyst to join our team in our Canberra Head Office. You will already have experience analysing business opportunities and building financial models and have a keen interest in agriculture. Reporting to the National Manager of our ASX listed fund, the Rural Funds Group, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing analysis of possible investment and/or product options including, data collection and development of analysis worksheets;
- Providing analysis and decision support to existing farming operations to assist with continuous improvement, profitability, projects and generally support decision making within these operations;
- Preparing proposals for consideration by senior management and the Board of Directors;
- Managing various projects under the supervision of the National Manager - Rural Funds Group;
- Regularly reporting required information to stakeholders;
- Monitoring existing investment performance;
- Providing support to the Marketing team as required; and
- Providing research data for product development and other research as required.
Requirements
The following criteria are essential to be successful in this position:
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting or economics;
- Analytical and Project Management experience;
- A high level of expertise with MS Excel;
- Prior experience with relational databases, or other systems-based data products;
- Highly developed quantitative problem-solving and analytic skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- The ability to work in a time-pressured and dynamic environment; and
- The ability to prioritise and manage your own time.
Applicants with prior experience, or a background in agriculture will be highly regarded for this position.
Benefits
On offer for the successful candidate is a competitive base salary starting at $70,000 up to $90,000 dependant on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will be also be eligible to participate in the company’s group salary continuance, group life insurance plan and annual bonus scheme.
