We are currently seeking an Internal Communications Manager who will oversee all internal communications for Go1, ensuring our message is consistent and engaging.
THE ROLE:
As an Internal Communications Manager, you will be responsible for driving employee engagement by keeping employees and management at Go1 informed on issues of importance to the business. You will drive motivation and adoption of company values by working with people at at all levels of the organisation to keep them informed of news and positive developments in the company and ensuring they stay informed during periods of change. This is a newly created role which will require you to build collateral from the ground up and work to influence across the senior management team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior managers
- Ensure organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
- Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet, monthly magazine or regular email bulletin.
- Keep internal clients abreast of progress and answer their questions
- Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative team of art directors and designers
- Use social media to communicate with staff internally
- Deliver presentations at organisational events
- Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organisation
- Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages
- Ensure job satisfaction among employees by administering surveys and polls
- Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly
- Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organisational perception and reputation
- Advise senior executives of developments throughout the organisation, either face to face or through regular written communication
This is a permanent position that can be based out of our Melbourne or Brisbane offices, with flexible work options available.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Internal Communications Manager or similar role within a global business of 250+ employees
- Experience in building a function from the ground up will be highly regarded
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and deal with changing priorities is essential
- A strategic thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally and across regions.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Great interpersonal and relationship building skills
