Job Description

Corin Australia is looking for a motivated and innovative Software Verification Engineer to join the Optimized Ortho (Technology) division of our growing team. This is a full-time, ongoing position and will be based out of our Sydney office located in Pymble, close to public transport. What you will be doing

  • Designing and implementing new software verification tests and test scripts, with a focus on test automation
  • Developing automation test scripts and test cases for regression tests
  • Supporting the software validation and verification processes within Corin’s Quality Management System
  • Preparing documentation including but not limited to verification and validation plans, requirements, verification reports, test scenarios and project documentation
  • Assisting with manual testing; execute manual test cases and scripts for products under development using test management/tracking tools
  • Ensuring traceability of requirements to verification and validation activities for software projects
  • Providing verification guidance across the business to ensure compliance
  • Collaborating with Ramp;D, Production and Quality departments to ensure projects meet procedural and regulatory requirements
  • Contributing ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables

Requirements

On your first day, we would like you to have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical (bonus points Biomedical) Engineering
  • Significant software experience combined with 1 - 4 years of industry experience
  • Strong technical understanding of Software development and IT infrastructure
  • Experience with automated functional testing tools and an enthusiasm for software development
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well and contribute in a positive way in a team environment
  • A passion for the best patient care
  • Proficiency in writing procedural and technical documents
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Quality focused with strong attention to detail
  • Self-directed and results orientated
  • Ideal:
    • Development experience in C#, Selenium, Specflow
    • Understanding of test automation
    • Experience using Jama software
    • Experience in software design and implementation
    • Experience using JIRA or similar defect management tools
    • Experience with medical device verification, standards and processes

It would be awesome, but not required if you have

  • Prior medical device experience or experience working within a regulated environment (bonus points for exposure to 62304 or 13485)
