Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Project Director to evaluate and direct projects for a growing investment portfolio. Industries include hospitality, sports, and healthcare. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating financial viability and overseeing identified investment projects from start to completion.

This is a huge opportunity to get involved in a variety of sectors and utilize your strong commercial, financial and project management skills to build a successful portfolio from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Map strategies and project plans for each company within the portfolio
  • Create and oversee overall budget, and breakdown across businesses within identified portfolio.
  • Manage identified deliverables, timelines, events, and inter-dependencies within the portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to improve competitive position, profitability, and brand of each business within the portfolio
  • Present options for pursuing development opportunities and implement proposals once approved.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and alternatives to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Review and oversee proposals and contracts that support delivery of projects and needs across the portfolio
  • Escalate issues and projected impact to project deliverables or business performance.

Financial Analysis amp; Management

  • Provide assessments of the viability, stability, and profitability of each new business proposal in the portfolio
  • Provide guidance on improving profitability and managing operational costs
  • Identify financial and commercial risks and opportunities as they present themselves and providing guidance on how to overcome or leverage within the context of the business.

Operations

  • Strategically plan and oversee general operations across the portfolio. This can include, but is not limited to:
    • Logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations
    • Marketing and communications
    • Contract and vendor obligations
    • Resourcing requirements across the portfolio
    • Regulatory compliance

Stakeholder amp; Personnel Management

  • Identify and effectively manage relationships with a broad range of stakeholders for each business within the portfolio
  • Develop and manages all communications with stakeholders including presentations, updates, reporting and analysis as required.
  • Oversee PR and Media related inquiries and opportunities.
  • Oversee any contractors, employees, suppliers, or partners involved in project delivery and operations of the portfolio of businesses
  • Identify preferred quality, suppliers, onboard and manage contracts and relationships with selected suppliers.

Requirements

Experiences, Skills and preferred characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree will be looked upon favorably.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects successfully
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify trends and translate those into business outcomes.
  • 7+ years’ experience in Project Management or similarly related discipline
  • Unbelievable communication and relationship management skills
  • A strong presenter who has proven ability to influence and guide
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest and experience in health and wellness, sports, and hospitality
  • Flexible and adaptable to suit the high-growth nature of the portfolio
