Summary of Responsibilities:
Shift Times:Second shift: 2pm - 10pm. Work schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all food and non-food inventory within the plant. The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for maintaining the layout and organization of all warehouse spaces and ensuring warehouse team is creating and promoting a safe workplace. In addition, the Warehouse Supervisor must be cross- demonstrate proficiency in all warehouse functions and processes and ensure compliance with standard procedures on a daily basisNon Food and Food Inventory:
  • Conducts audit of inventory data to ensure accuracy for purchasing decisions.
  • Works with inventory team to coordinate cycle counts based on inventory schedule (weekly food, packaging, end of week and end of month physical inventories).
  • Works with Inventory team to communicate potential shorts with Procurement Team
  • Works with Inventory Team to gather starting inventory for Procurement
  • Works with Inventory Team to create Purge List for Procurement to approve weekly
  • Works with team using Create Space and FIFO to manage warehouse organization
  • Investigates, identifies and reconciles the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages.
  • Responsible for devising ways to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Takes accountability for product quality and quantity immediately after receiving processes have been completed (ongoing storage of product at appropriate temperature in appropriate location)
  • Responsible for attending conference calls with corporate packaging team and to give feedback on usage and overall process improvements
  • Ensures all inventory processes are completed in accordance to SOPs and any variances or issues, works with Level 1 supervisor to ensure retraining is conducted
Supervision of Warehouse Personnel:
  • Develops a teamwork environment
  • Communicates job expectations and builds departmental standards for performance
  • Adheres to safety related procedures and works with associates to create safety first work environment Lives the Home Chef Values
  • Ensures the team know and understand the Home Chef Values
  • Conducts rotational check-ins with inventory clerks to ensure all team members are progressing against task list
  • Ensures all warehouse associates have been properly trained to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations
  • Ensures all warehouse associates have been properly trained in standard operating procedures for the warehouse department
  • Audits the MHE checklists for department to ensure that all equipment being used has had a pre-shift operational check Conducts performance evaluations for inventory clerks
  • Counsels and disciplines as necessary and maintains record of coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Works with warehouse manager to manage scheduling and time off requests
Cross Functional Responsibilities:
  • The Warehouse Supervisor must be cross trained in other warehouse functions and be able to support Receiving and Product amp; Shipping as needed
General Responsibilities:
  • Follow the facility GMP’s and help enforce them throughout the facility
  • Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word.
  • Computer proficiency to execute transactions and enter counts/corrections required Ability to use handheld data logging equipment required
  • Must have Supervised at least 10-15 employees.
  • Must have 5+ years of warehouse experience in a lea
