The Plant Lead Recruiter is responsible for driving the recruitment process of all hourly production, quality and warehouse positions and assisting with the full cycle recruiting, including the onboarding/ orientation of new hires. The Plant Lead Recruiter responsibilities include conducting initial screenings, scheduling interviews, and meeting with managers/supervisors to discuss needs. Facilitates the process of hiring new employees and ensures all appropriate paperwork and documentation is on file and accurate.
Hours for the position are 7am - 3:30pm. The position requires onsite work at our Bedford Park location. Recruiting:
  • Leads our search of top talent for our entry-level positions in production, quality and warehousing
  • Recruits active and passive candidates from various resources, including campus activities, Internet job boards, social media and employee referrals
  • Assists location in the hiring process for open positions, including interviewing and screening applicants both over the phone and in person
  • Participates in job fairs, presentations and various on-campus/local community recruiting activities as needed
  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all candidate communications
  • Follows up on interviewees, including making offers to those selected for hire
  • Works with hiring managers to determine weekly hiring needs
  • Manages and monitors Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Manages background check process
  • Manages temporary conversion process
Onboarding and Orientation:
  • Conducts weekly orientation using company provided Powerpoint presentation
  • Reviews attendance policy, GMPs, employee handbook, and benefit information
  • Conducts facility tour for all new hires
  • Assigns lockers and fob keys
  • Sends invitation to complete paperwork, including applications, onboarding, and I-9
  • Sends invitation to complete background checks
  • Assists new hires in completing paperwork if needed
  • Enters new hires into Kronos for time keeping
  • Enters and verify new hire I-9 documentation

  • Proficient in MS Office Applications; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Google Drive
  • At least 2 years experience in HR/customer service/office administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is desired
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented with a focus on quality results/deliverables
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high caliber and dynamic environment
  • Good organizational skills and time management are a must
