The Vroom Transportation Team is looking to add a Logistics Supervisor who has ability to multi-task and an eye for quality! The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading a sub-unit of the logistics team, monitoring the daily operations of the scheduling team and ensure that the team is empowered to create a great pickup and delivery experience for Vroom’s customers.Job Responsibilities:
  • The Supervisor will lead a team of Logistic Planners that coordinate the pickup and delivery of vehicles
  • Monitors daily operations of team and manage assigned tasks
  • Manage and review workflow volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service
  • Review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics. Specifically KPIs for On-Time Pickup, On-Time Delivery, and cycle time
  • Manage daily administrative operations of the department including establishing work priorities, scheduling workforce, administering attendance policies and resolving any related issues or problems as necessary
  • Maintain and develop staff through ongoing training and performance through the administration of quarterly performance appraisals
  • Work with third party carriers to ensure performance and resolution when issues arise
  • Lead with customer focus
  • Be an ambassador for cross functional process improvement with constant requirement for collaboration within the company as well as externally with various partners

Job Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Logistics Industry
  • Experience working with data to drive action
  • Highly proficient in Computer skills; Microsoft Excel and Data reporting tools
  • Knowledge of a TMS is a plus
  • Experience working in Domestic Over the Road Transportation
  • Proven success of collaborative leadership
  • 3rd Party Carrier Management Experience preferred
  • Roll-up your sleeves attitude and willingness to jump in whenever needed and the ability to change priorities quickly as time-sensitive needs arise

  • Specific vision abilities required by the position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
  • Use of a computer and other personal assistance devices (tablets or mobile phone) are a must for this position
  • This position is performed within a mechanical facility with various noise levels
  • The incumbent in this position is expected to work independently and as part of the team
