We are currently seeking a Production Manager at our reconditioning facility located in Stafford, Texas. This will be a fast paced, high energy position making sure every car we sell is ready to delight our customers. Hours are approximately 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, and this role reports to the GeneralManager.Responsibilities:
  • Set and achieve production goals
  • Prioritize workflow to meet business requirements
  • Establish, monitor, and report production performance
  • Supply inventory to reconditioning, sales, logistics and other functions
  • Maintain cleanliness, control, and organization of the inventory lot
  • Schedule work hours of team members
  • Plan, assign and direct work of team members
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment within the facility
  • Communicate with Sales, Recon, Production, Shipping, and QC Managers
  • Identify priority vehicles and ensure they are routed to the correct departments
  • Ensure cleanliness of all sold vehicles leaving the facility
  • Highlight and work to remove bottlenecks that may result in production delays
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Responsible to source and select talent to meet staffing needs
  • Ensure that all vehicles meet Vroom high quality standards
  • Communicate with vendors pertaining to vehicle flow both inbound and outbound
  • Continually strive to improve process and decrease cycle times while maintaining quality standards
Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in related field and managing 20+ team members in a fast paced, high energy environment
  • 3-5 years experience in automotive preferred
  • Previous Second Shift experience required
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelors degree is desired
  • Must be at least 21, have a valid driver's license, and be able to operate manual transmissions
  • Experience managing budget and ability to assess cost structure within Pamp;L
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems in a challenging environment
  • Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Availability to work Monday - Sunday 6am- 6:30pm
  • Comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor work environment, inclement weather, noisy situations
