We're going through a period of massive growth and we're not slowing down. Stax is seeking a senior engineer to join our experienced engineering team. We are looking for an engineer that has an ability to work in a fast-moving environment with complex technical challenges.
We are building data pipelines that deal with hundreds of millions of rows and terabytes of data to deliver high quality data to our customers. A successful candidate will bring the skills and expertise to continue to deliver value to our customers. They will be joining an established cross-functional development team that's agile, fun, and driven to build high quality product. This is a great opportunity for someone to tackle complex data problems, in a mature product, and grow your cloud experience.As part of the team, you will be:
- Helping manage and evolve our AWS infrastructure
- Implementing GraphQL and REST API endpoints for frontend and internal applications
- Designing and improving existing data pipelines for AWS billing and resource data
- Providing product designers with technical feedback and working with them on solutions
- Assisting customer success with technical questions
- Taking part in a rotation responding to incidents and outages
We're looking for someone who:
- 5+ years experience in developing applications to the highest standard.
- Has a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working with AWS technologies
- Has a working knowledge of Ruby and/or Go
- Can adapt and grow with the rest of the team and company
- Has a DevOps/SRE mindset (i.e. you build it, you run it)
- Knowledge of Postgres
- Builds resilient systems and appreciates the importance of observability
