Marley Spoon is currently operating in the US, Europe and Australia. We are currently looking for casual Quality Control Associates (Fridays only) in our Altona North Fulfilment Centre to help us grow Marley Spoon.

Your role:

The Quality Control Associate works alongside and with the team, ensuring that all areas are ready for operation and that our food is of the utmost quality at all times. This position is under the direction of the Quality and Safety Site Manager. You are responsible for following all safety, GMP and all company policies / procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/hygiene policies, in cooperation with the QA Manager site lead.

Essential Functions:

• Performs quality control checks and tasks to support the production/warehouse team and the entire facility, up to and including GMP enforcement, allergen control, food defence and line checks.
• Follow Marley Spoon policies and procedures.
• Occasionally required to communicate with other departments to collaborate and solve problems.
• Support and follow directions from supervisor or management and complete tasks with minimum supervision.
• Reports all food safety and sanitation issues to an immediate supervisor.
• Aids in non-conformance identifications.

Requirements

• Must be available to work Fridays, with the flexibility to work other days should the need arises
• Able to work Fridays between 9am and 9pm
• Must be computer literate and is a basic-level user of Google office suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc)
• Ability to work in a temperature controlled environment (2-4 degrees)
• At least 6 months experience in Quality Control of a food manufacturing facility preferred.
• Knowledge of fresh produce highly desirable
• Self-starter with initiative, and great communication skills
• Adapts well to changes that inevitably come along with an evolving business
• Conversational level of English (ability to read, interpret and take direction in English)
• Enjoy working in a production/warehouse environment with first experiences in these areas
