We’re looking for a Quality Control Associate in our Fulfilment Centre to work with a team of 5+ QC Associates. This position will be located in our Enfield, Sydney Facility.
- Compensation : Hourly
- Hours required: 20 hours weekly

Summary/Objective
The Quality Control Associate works alongside and with the team ensuring that all areas are ready for operation and that our food is of the utmost quality at all times. This position is under the direction of the Quality and Safety Site Manager. You are responsible for following all safety, GMP and all company policies/procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/hygiene policies, in cooperation with the QA Manager site lead.
Essential Functions
- Performs typical quality Control checks and tasks to support the production/warehouse team and the entire facility up to and including GMP enforcement, allergen control, food defence and line checks.
- Work with QC associates on standard operating procedures (food safety, GMP, allergens, CCPs, food defence, PPE / hygiene policies)
- Follow Marley Spoon policies and procedures
- Occasionally required to communicate with other departments to collaborate and solve problems
- Respectfully support and follow direction from supervisor or management and complete tasks with minimum supervision.
- Responsible for following standard operating procedures (safety, GMP, PPE, hygiene policies)
- Maintains the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Reports all food safety and sanitation issues to an immediate supervisor
- Aids in non-conformance identifications
Essential Job Functions:
- Communications: expresses ideas and thoughts clearly and with tact and diplomacy.
- Time Management: maintaining momentum and keeping on task to meet goals and deadlines
- Detail-oriented
- Exposure to temperatures that range from 0C to 6C.
- Must be a basic level user of the following software: google sheets, google docs, email and must be able to handle basic functions of an iPad and scanners.
Requirements
- 6 months of experience in Quality Control of a food manufacturing facility or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of fresh produce preferred
- Clear and concise communicator, verbal and written English
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to work weekends, overtime and holidays if required
