Requirements
Overview
Our client is seeking a leading Hadoop consultant and a multiple Hadoop developers to work within the Financial Services / Insurance industry. The requirements are driven by a current project, in flight, and the key attributes are listed as follows:Mandatory
- For Developers : at least 6+ years of experience in IT. Preferred experience in the insurance, finance sectors.
- For Lead : at leat 10+ years of experience in IT. Preferred experience in the insurance, finance sectors.
- Hands on experience working with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python and Kafka.
- Experience with Data Ingestion, transformation, CICD Pipelines, Data Quality both batch and real time.
- Hands on experience working with Advanced SQL, Java, Python and other Scripting languages.
- Excellent customer interfacing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with Cloudera and or Hortonworks experience preferred.
- Experience with GitHub, JIRA and confluence is a plus.
- Cloudera certification or any Bigdata certification is preferred.
Conditions:
- Applicants MUST either be a citizen or have suitable permits to work in Australia.
- Interview by client and suitable background check will be conducted as part of process

Location of work
- Sydney (CBD)
- With Covid restrictions, remote working will be allowed. However, when these restrictions a lifted, it is expected that the location of work will revert to CDB Sydney.

- 6 months with options to extend
