Work type Part-time, 3 Month Contract

  • Contract Vacancy for 3 months
  • $19.84 per hour + 9.5% superannuation

Work commitment

  • 40 hours a week for the first month
  • 20 hours a week for the second and third month
  • Commencing immediately

When Beam enters a city, we aim to become an integral part of daily life and to have great relationships with our riders and partners. We are seeking a Community Intern, reporting to the Community Manager, ANZ, to help us build and maintain our relationships with these communities.


About the Role

Beam has a 3-month opportunity available for a motivated individual in Sydney to join the team. The Community Intern's role is a broad one. Working in a highly supportive professional marketing and partnerships team, you will contribute to the image and reputation of Beam at the local city level. The successful applicant will gain valuable experience in:

  • creating consumer-focused content for email, social media and printed materials
  • contributing to Beam's Customer Service function at the local city level
  • organising and supporting local city events and activations
  • managing an event calendar to optimise operational planning and support growth targets
  • spearheading our 'support local' community initiative, Operation Booster
  • working as part of a fast-paced, committed and passionate team

Requirements

About You

We are a start up in every sense of the word. Expect autonomy, visibility, breakneck pace, ground breaking technology, barriers to overcome, problems to pursue. You will be currently studying (or have recently completed) a bachelor or master’s degree in marketing, business, commerce or equivalent.

  • Background or interest in marketing, partnerships, business development and/or event management
  • Previous experience in a marketing role is desirable however not essential
  • Ability to work independently and to be creative
  • High motivation to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Curious, organised, and someone who takes initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solver with a pro-business approach
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn able to commit to the duration of the training contract

You’ll be supported in this program by mentors and staff, both on location and nationally, who’ll train you in many key functions and facilitate your success in these roles.
