Hearth support services is a registered NDIS and TAC support services provider. We are looking for reliable and experienced Support Workers who want to make a difference by supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life.


The role may involve:

  • Assistance with community access and recreational activities
  • Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
  • Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
  • Transportation and supporting social engagement
  • Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning

Ideally you will live in the Inner north or Werribee areas.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
  • At least 2 years experience supporting and/or caring for a person with a disability (essential)
  • Professional and confident communication skills (essential)
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle (essential)
  • The legal right to work in Australia (essential)
  • Patience, self-confidence and a mature, resilient attitude
  • Proven ability to manage challenging situations while unsupervised
  • Open, flexible availability
  • Willingness to undergo relevant background checks including the NDIS worker screening check
  • Commitment to working within the legislative framework and the organisations policies and procedures
