Hearth support services is a registered NDIS and TAC support services provider. We are looking for reliable and experienced Support Workers who want to make a difference by supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life.
The role may involve:
- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
- Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
- Transportation and supporting social engagement
- Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
Ideally you will live in the Inner north or Werribee areas.
Requirements
- Experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
- At least 2 years experience supporting and/or caring for a person with a disability (essential)
- Professional and confident communication skills (essential)
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle (essential)
- The legal right to work in Australia (essential)
- Patience, self-confidence and a mature, resilient attitude
- Proven ability to manage challenging situations while unsupervised
- Open, flexible availability
- Willingness to undergo relevant background checks including the NDIS worker screening check
- Commitment to working within the legislative framework and the organisations policies and procedures
