Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd (KCGM) is currently seeking a Senior Drill and Blast Engineer to join the Technical Services Department at the Superpit in Kalgoorlie.
In this residential position, the successful candidate will oversee the open pit drilling and blasting activities including the coordination of work for two of our key business partners on site Orica and Ausdrill, whilst ensuring the group contributes to the success of our current continuous improvement projects through adherence to effective quality assurance programmes.

Requirements
Essential
- Bachelor of Mining Engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a large open cut mine or quarry.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience working as a Drill and Blast Engineer.
- Proven experience in leading a diverse team to safely deliver results in an environment that fosters continuous improvement.
- Current West Australian Dangerous Goods Security Card.
- Experience with contractor management.
- Working knowledge of Deswik, Vulcan, or Surpac software.
- Current West Australian Shotfirer’s Ticket.
- Must reside within the Goldfields region, or be willing to relocate
- Current Unencumbered Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence.
Preferred
- Working at Heights Accreditation.
- Experience in:
- Underground and/or open cut gold mining;
- Historical mining such as Air- Leg mining;
- Drill and Blast functions of Open Pit; and/or
- Survey functions of Open Pit.
