KCGM is now recruiting for an experienced Underground Shift Supervisor to join and lead the production team of the Mt Charlotte underground operation.

These residential roles are on an even time 7 days / 7 off / 7 nights / 7 off (12 hr shifts) roster.

Reporting to the Underground Production Superintendent, the underground shift supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising underground production personnel and activities, ensuring all key targets are achieved in a safe and cost effective timely manner. People management and positive, pro-active leadership are key criteria for this position.

Requirements

Essential

  • A minimum five (5) years underground mining experience
  • A minimum two (2) years experience in a supervisory role in a similarly sized operation or at foreman level within a larger operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to react and diagnose problems to accurately identify and implement potential solutions in a timely manner.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills enabling liaison at all levels of the underground operation.
  • Experience in coaching and performance management of team members to enhance team effectiveness.
  • West Australian Shift Supervisors Certificate of Competency
  • Intermediate level of computer skills.
  • Dangerous Goods Clearance Card
  • First Aid Certificate
  • National Police Clearance less than twelve (12) months old
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence.

Preferred

  • Formal leadership / supervisory qualifications
  • West Australian Shotfirer’s Ticket.
