Job Description
We are looking for a Data Architect for a Contract role based in Melbourne. You will be working for a Global Consulting Firm for one of their major projects.
Requirements
Key accountabilities of this role
- Accountable for delivery of solution architecture across the data and analytics platforms
- Work closely with the product and engineering counterparts and influence product direction through technical insights
- Should have experience in working on Life/Health Insurance domain.
- Influence business amp; strategic partners to align with enterprise architecture strategy and deeper focus on data strategy.
- Prioritise the delivery of the right data amp; analytics capabilities at the right time through innovation and proof of concepts
- Orchestrates and collaborates with the team to choose the tools, apply frameworks and design principles required to enable collaboration and efficiency across the team
Qualifications, key skills and experience required
- 4 years + working in implementing data amp; analytics platforms
- 2 years + working in data architecture space
- Experience in AGILE projects and delivering business value from the technical assets
- Experience working with SAP technologies
- Experience in Spark, Scala, Python, SQL scripting languages.
- Experience working on relational databases like SQL DB/DW and NoSQL Platforms like HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra etc
- Have strong technical competency working with Azure cloud platform services and technologies
- Experience in data modelling with strong implementation background in Data Vault
- Experience working with streaming capabilities and lambda architecture
- Excellent oral, communication and organisational skills, with a high degree of agility and flexibility to meet changing priorities
- Experience of working in Australian Utility industry (including knowledge of relevant market rules, regulation and legislative requirements) will be an added advantage
