Job Description

We are looking for a passionate sales professional with meticulous attention to detail, high commercial acumen and commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes for our key trade partners. Based in Sydney or Melbourne, but working nationally, you will be a part of a small and dynamic sales team within the AUNZ commercial organization. To thrive in this role, you will enjoy variety, be able to work independently, be an exceptionally good communicator and negotiator, and be very well organized.

As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for an effective management of a portfolio of Silversea’s National Account partners and for providing solutions and strategic sales advice to the Director of Sales AUNZ. You will also support the day-to-day sales, marketing, promotion and reporting functions of the National Accounts with a focus on profitability and ROI.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and supporting profitable sales relationships within the assigned portfolio of our National Accounts to achieve and exceed assigned targets
  • Defining, implementing and communicating effective account management strategies that maximize revenue generation for the assigned portfolio of National Accounts
  • Initiating and implementing (in co-op with Director of Marketing) marketing programs for the accounts with strong focus on ROI
  • Working closely with the National Accounts and Marketing department to submit content and provide editing on partner marketing initiatives
  • Effectively and efficiently coordinating and processing National Account partner co-op initiatives, including preparing co-op briefing package, invoicing, updating co-op log, budget tracking and preparing check requests for accounting
  • Initiating and participating in periodic reviews with National Account to review revenue performance and sales objectives and opportunities
  • Supporting Director of Sales, and Business Planning and Analysis team in designing incentive schemes and contract negotiations as well as budgeting projects by providing insights, advice and any other information required
  • Coordinating and participating in National Account trade shows, conferences and social functions
  • Regular use of CRM system with weekly and monthly reporting
  • Reviewing weekly and monthly sales numbers; analyze performance of assigned portfolio and address areas not achieving targets on an ongoing basis
  • Manage allocated trade funds to ensure they are within the guidelines and budgets as well as meeting expected ROI

Requirements

  • Strong sales and account management experience within a tourism industry, especially high-end cruise, airline or hotel.
  • Experience negotiating, contracting and dealing with national or key accounts and working closely with regional Sales Managers
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills experienced, confident and credible at building strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels of organizations, collaborating effectively with all stakeholders
  • Exceptional development and management of customer and internal stakeholder relationships
  • Inquisitive / innovative mindset seek to improve current processes and systems, maximize investment with accounts / promotional programs
  • An effective team player collaborative approach and able to work in a matrix structure
  • Strong business acumen and commercial judgement, along with excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify new business opportunities
