You will be joining the Customer Services team delivering projects to Datacom's largest customer, based in Canberra.

About the Role

This role will play an important part in the teams Agile Transformation. Working with the Portfolio Manager, the Senior Project Manager will also act as the team’s scrum master. The role will support the Portfolio to take an 18 month forward work plan and dependency mapping to sequence of projects and tasks into sprints to meet customer demand. The role is expected to have a limited delivery focus and will work mostly in the project planning phase - drafting scope and estimates to hand over to Project Managers who will finalise proposals and feed projects into sprint planning.

The role will then work with the multidisciplinary agile team to develop sprints and deliver outcomes to our customer.

This is an exciting role in Datacom and this new capability will demonstrate the success of Agile ITO Project delivery to the wider organisation by increasing our customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

As the Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master, you are accountable for, but not limited to:

• Project management and accounting
• Responsible for Project Delivery (planning, tracking sprint progress, maintaining scrum cadence and supporting our Project Managers to deliver quality outcomes)
• Support the Portfolio Manager and the broader Project team (Project Managers, Architects, Tech Leads, Technical Specialists)
• The transition of new services for existing customers into Managed Services/ Operations.

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role, you will be an Australian Citizen and consent to undergoing a Security Clearance, bringing at least 5 years’ experience in a similar customer facing senior project management role, ideally within an IT Professional or Managed Services environment. You will have an in-depth understanding of technical infrastructure projects and related technology dependencies. You will be able to demonstrate successful practice as a Scrum Master and delivery of Agile projects coming in on time, to scope, quality and within budget. On top of that, you will bring exceptional negotiation, communication and customer relationship management skills, along with sound business acumen.

This role is to deliver to government customers nationally, with this position based in Canberra.
