Job Description

Our Australia Monastery is looking for an Experience Design Strategist to take a leading role in our digital transformation projects involving digital platforms such as websites, apps, and e-comm sites. In this role, you’ll be responsible for championing UX Strategy through human-centred exploration of complex problems using evidence, data and insight to help our clients make better decisions.


Responsibilities

  • Lead UX projects in the early stages of the design process, employing lean research methods to uncover insights and define strategic recommendations for best of breed user experience for MediaMonk’s clients.
  • You’ll deliver strategic recommendations such as research reports, information architecture, personas, experience visions, user journeys amp; content strategy.
  • Working with cross functional teams to develop strategic options and recommendations that triangulate user needs, business needs and technological possibility.
  • Working within client businesses and helping them grow their skills and research toolkit as well as educating the business on the benefits of UX research.
  • You’ll work closely with UX designers to validate high-quality user experience design deliverables such as detailed wireframes, user flows and prototypes.
  • You lead by example, always perfect the tiniest details and are inspired by your passion. Clients can see this too and will flock to collaborate with you.

Requirements

  • We’re looking to hire someone with at least 3+ years of experience in user experience design, well versed in user experience strategy, process and design thinking. Global experience is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering successful information architecture and communicating how IA decisions support these needs of user and business requirements.
  • You believe that content is just as important as usability and have experience with content audits and defining content strategies.
  • Experience with quantitative data research and able to effectively synthesise insights. Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics are highly desirable.
  • You have experience with conducting user interviews, focus groups and usability testing.
  • Able to effectively communicate research reports, UX strategy recommendations to peers and leaders.
  • You enjoy working as part of a UX team but can also work autonomously.
  • As part of a global company operating as one team across time zones, you can successfully collaborate at a distance.
  • You understand the process and politics of production inside out and know when to be pragmatic if that’s what it takes to keep things moving.
  • You’re fascinated by how people interact with technology in practice, and you’re always up-to-date with the latest (design) trends and innovations.
  • You’re meticulous in your process, and have an eagle-eye for detail and have great problem-solving skills.
  • Applicants to be located in Australia with permits to work in Australia. Successful candidate will be based at our Sydney office (dependent on COVID-19).
