We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Project Manager to join our high performing team based out of our Sydney branch. This role is pivotal to ensuring that we fully understand and structurally address a complex ecosystem of opportunity, that will enable the business to operate with more clarity, efficiency, cost effectiveness and turn a current problem into an opportunity. You will provide Project Leadership and Management into many areas of the business and report to the Operations Excellence Director.
Your role will include (but not be limited to):
- Leading and managing significant and scaled change projects, which will involve the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs
- Taking responsibility for the definition, documentation and safe execution of the project, actively leading and participating in all phases of the project
- Effectively estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project(s) to agreed terms of reference
- Ensure that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and that all activities are tracked against the plan, with regular and accurate reports provisioned for key stakeholders
- Provide effective leadership to the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and developing their skills and experience
- Provide subject matter expertise within the project scope, working alongside colleagues as required to deliver in accordance with the strategic roadmap
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Recognised qualification in Project Management e.g. PRINCE2 (essential)
- 5+ years of Project Management experience, preferably with a medium-sized multi-national organisation
- Change management experience and a good understanding of change management principles
- Proven track record of delivering solutions that improve efficiency of business operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create an environment that enables the team to perform at its best
- Ability to articulate the case for change in the language of the business
- Experience in Agile Project Delivery (preferred)
