As a Product Owner/Consultant, you will be part of Fenergo’s?new greenfield API-first product team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of Fen-X which is our new SaaS product offering and a growing team. As the first team in Australia, you will have a chance to influence the direction of the product front to back and grow with the product as we expand the teams in the region. We are building the platform using the latest technologies and cloud-based architecture, utilizing the power of platform services. The team is transforming the way we design and build software so that value is delivered quickly to our users.


In this role, you will get the chance to
  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product analysts to deliver your product on a global scale.
  • Be the expert for your product and subject domain, with an awareness of how your product impacts the broader business objectives.
  • Working with the Head of Product to roadmap and prioritise backlog items, create benchmarks against Client requirements and engaging in market analysis.
  • Developing features and user stories in the product backlog.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis, using this to inform decisions on a roadmap and feature design level
  • Optimise the team’s ways of working to improve quality whilst maintaining high team morale.
  • Setting the product vision and leading a team to execute on the vision.
  • Understand the balance between achieving the desired business results and building a product that brings value to clients.
  • Understand customers and their pain points through qualitative user research methodologies such as in-depth interviews and prototype walkthroughs.
  • Working directly with clients on their target operating model and guiding them as a trusted advisor.
  • Work with a global client base, who are transforming every part of their digital customer journeys.
  • Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to revolutionize how we develop and deliver.

Requirements

About you

  • Experience working in the financial services industry as a product manager, management consultant, product analyst or similar.
  • Excited about producing world-class software and determined to lead by example.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a high paced environment to short deadlines in an agile fashion.
  • Understand the value of design thinking methodologies and champion them.
  • A customer-first mindset in everything you do.
  • Experience in designing business processes and features, utilising design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience of working with ALM tools to manage backlog work items and interact with product development teams towards a shared outcome.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams globally.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
