Sales Specialist/Consultant (Cloud/Professional Services)

Our Sales Specialist/Consultants are the cornerstone of our delivery success, overseeing our most strategic accounts. They are empowered to make key delivery decisions and work closely with technical resources as well as our Engagement/Project Managers to ensure our customers experience successful outcomes. The role includes business development, client management, and technical delivery across a broad array of client accounts. This person needs to understand client's business and technology requirements, identify gaps, areas of opportunity, and design future state improvements as well as providing pre-sales support for engagements. What you'll be doing:

• Seek out, explore,and qualify business opportunities at senior levels with Mid-Enterprise Market scale clients
• Ensure engagements are scoped, planned and delivered to maximise value for customers and Rackspace
• Typical engagements cover modernisation of data, Infrastructure, deployment methodologies and extend into emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT and Cloud Native development.
• At any time, you will be accountable for multiple projects across multiple customers helping to secure new business and delivering against contracted services and revenue realisation targets
• Ensure the project team remains focused, and work closely with managers to ensure team performance
• Connect and collaborate with AWS to ensure the best partnership experience is delivered and commercial opportunities maximized.

Is this job for you?

• 10+ years of consulting/technical delivery experience with 5+ years of client facing responsibilities within a professional services environment
• Experience across cloud consulting, engagement delivery management, pre-sales and commercial expertise
• Ownership of client relationships at senior management level within the enterprise space
• Capability to absorb complex technical information, analyse and effectively communicate concepts to a wide-range of audiences
• Direct experience executing successful business transformation projects with measurable results, technical delivery, team leadership, and senior client relationship management
• Technology services background focused on professional services with the ability to learn and apply new technologies
• Ability to deal with ambiguity by making the appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
• Proven ability to motivate responsible parties to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
