This position is responsible for all demand planning/forecasting activities associated with Feld Consumer Products. You will initiate communication between Product Development, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory Control and Manufacturing to maintain our John Galt Demand Planning Software. Expect to manage huge demand volatility, fluctuating event attendances, short product life cycles and new distribution channels.Essential Job Functions
This position is responsible for all demand planning/forecasting activities associated with Feld Consumer Products. You will initiate communication between Product Development, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory Control and Manufacturing to maintain our John Galt Demand Planning Software. Expect to manage huge demand volatility, fluctuating event attendances, short product life cycles and new distribution channels.Essential Job Functions
- Develop and implement demand planning amp; forecast strategies for over 20 live entertainment events, multiple distribution centers, e-commerce and more.
- Meet regularly with business unit partners to understand sales rates and all inputs that will impact those rates.
- Work in conjunction with corporate forecasting/budgeting and adjust estimated attendance to remain accurate.
- Monitor worldwide inventory to ensure the inventory allocation is correct and adjust when necessary.
- Use and maintain the John Galt Demand Planning software or SAP/APO, Manugistics, or Oracle Demand Planning or other software related to demand planning.
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the demand planning process.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Accounting, 3 to 5 years training, or equivalent combination.
- Experience with Demand Planning software: John Galt, SAP/APO, Manugistics, Oracle or other related software.
- APICS or other forecasting certification preferred.
- Ability to quickly understand inventory, accounting, and merchandising data.
- Advanced to Expert level skills with the following software packages Microsoft Excel and Access, SQL Server Reporting Studio (SSRS), SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Ability to read, write, modify, and create queries using the Query for IBM tool and SQL on Microsoft SQL databases.
- Attention to detail and strong ability to assimilate and calculate figures, and provide accurate reporting.
- Strong understanding and experience creating reports and data extracts from databases using MS Excel. Must be proficient with vlookup, macros, pivot tables, conditional formatting and advanced IF statements.
- Advanced to Expert level skills with the following software packages Microsoft Excel and Access, SQL Server Reporting Studio (SSRS), SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Ability to read, write, modify, and create queries using the Query for IBM tool and SQL on Microsoft SQL databases.
