Motion Designer Job Description
As a Motion Designer at Canva you will have the opportunity to work at one of the fastest-growing companies in the world and shape the content that promotes and enriches it.

About the group and team
The Canva Studio team are an exciting bridge between our enterprise customers and their success on Canva. We work directly with global clients to integrate, educate and enable them to use Canva in the best possible way. Our team of creative professionals provide strategic advice, organise and run efficient and fun education opportunities, create bespoke designs, recreate current assets and also provide multiple variations to enable a clients users to use Canva with ease. Canva Studio contributes directly to Canva’s business success by helping acquire, retain and grow customers.
About the Role
In the Motion Designer role for Canva Studio, you will work with our global clients to provide video support and assets. This will include creating bespoke motion graphics, working with current client motion assets within templates, and also creating variations and new concepts to showcase Canva video features. You will work closely with our creative leads and art directors to not only create the work needed, but to set in palace strategies to enhance a clients experience on Canva.
Responsibilites
- Produce flawless and creative animations, videos, motion graphics and, from time-to-time, static assets for Canva’s Enterprise clients
- Create and manipulate a diverse range of content (digital and motion) that brings Canva clients assets to life through exciting creative executions
- Look for new opportunities to add value, via motion graphics, to our clients
- Collaborate with a team of art directors, senior designers, and copywriters to create exciting and progressive work
- Familiarise yourself with the performance of your work and learn for future executions
We'd love it if you have..
- 5+ years experience as a motion designer with a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your talent and passion for design and effective executions.
- Ability to think conceptually and also execute, being able to work from ideation to storyboarding, to design and animation
- Fluency in AE, Illustrator and Photoshop with a robust sense of animation timing and rhythm.
- Be able to animate 2D designs as part of a team (knowledge of 3D is a plus)
- The ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment
- Diligence to hit deadlines, and offer suggestions to streamline and improve team processes
- An intense interest in the performance of your work and appetite to apply learnings from marketing metrics to future work
