Procurement Operations Lead

What you will do:

• Partner with Head of Procurement to evaluate, implement, and roll out Procurement intake/deal management software to standardize intake and functional approvals for all spend types across Canva
• Define a Shared Services Strategy for what operations responsibilities should be maintained in our Manila office vs. centrally
• Build effective training materials and training strategy for how Procurement will effectively communicate updated processes, systems, and policies to the Canva organization
• Identify a software and process for how Procurement operations will track the projects, process improvements, software enhancements, etc. efficiently to allow team members to spend more time executing and less time organizing/tracking
• Build a reporting package leveraging the data and process defined in the Procurement intake/deal management software to effectively demonstrate to leadership the impact and metrics of the Procurement team
• Align with Finance, Accounting, and leadership teams around the right way to roll out a purchase order process that is suitable for Canva's growth and size
• Build a roadmap for Procurement operations for the following 12 months to prioritize hiring, systems, process, and other initiatives

What we are looking for:

• Leading cross functional projects across multiple teams (finance + outside finance) to align on process, system, and policy change with successful execution of aligned vision
• Management or leadership experience to effectively define hiring roadmap for Procurement operations, and effectively onboard/train team members
• Passionate team member who’s energy and positivity has a trickle effect on the Procurement team, and stakeholders 
• Highly collaborative and eager to learn through partnership with the Head of Procurement to execute collectively on team mission & goals
• Experience with purchasing processes, and systems including procure to pay (Purchase Orders), Deal Management (sourcing, approvals, etc.), etc.
• Effective project management & communication skills to accomplish multiple parallel projects across our processes and systems concurrently
• Technical experience with implementing, configuring, or maintaining softwares.  No coding is required for the position, but the ability to administer and make changes to existing systems is a must
• Analytical and reporting experience to think thoroughly through defined strategies, and leverage the data in our process and systems for reporting packages/ongoing improvements
