The Security Risk & Compliance team aims to ensure that Canva successfully navigates a complex technology risk and compliance landscape.  Through engagement with all parts of the business and effective operation of Canva’s information security management system, the team provides insights and advice to support decision making at multiple levels within the organisation.

This role is seeking a Technology Risk Analyst to actively contribute to all aspects of Canva’s information security management system.

Role Responsibilities

  • Engage with people from all parts of Canva to identify risks and to design risk treatment plans
  • Track the progress of risk treatment plans and keep Canva’s risk register up to date
  • Run risk and security assessments for new and existing vendors
  • Provide support for audits and certification projects
  • Provide risk and compliance input to teams
  • Design and create risk reports for the ISC and other stakeholders
  • Identify and implement better ways to track risk throughout Canva

Required Background and Experience

  • Previous experience working in IT operational risk in a medium-to-large scale organization
  • Familiarity with industry IT risk management and security certifications and standards
  • Clear and confident communications; ability to work alongside both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to prioritize and progress multiple tasks and projects
  • High-level of attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset; actively keeping an eye out for improvement opportunities
  • Strong documentation skills, and comfortable working with Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and other
  • Previous experience in software development or IT Operations experience would be advantageous
