Job Description

This role is a multifaceted position that will require engagement with several key stakeholders and the ideal candidate must be able to earn trust and influence autonomously. They must be able to lead a team to plan and prioritize against customer targets, manage against tight timelines, and have a demonstrated ability to use metrics to drive results. Thriving in a fast-paced environment and having a strength in problem solving will be critical to success in this role. The best candidate will draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition while forging dynamic relationships with business leaders, cross functional partners, and centralized student program teams.

This leader will be responsible for:
· Leading a regional Early Careers Team team (based in 4 countries in-region) in driving the AWS ECT strategy in APJC which spans 14 countries.
· Partnering with multiple stakeholders globally and within region including AWS business leaders, HR, Talent Acquisition, Program Managers and the Amazon Student Programs (SP) team.
· Enabling ECT and SP recruiting teams to run a seamless and customer obsessed end-to-end recruiting process from advertising positions to effectively screening candidates and moving them through a selection process, ending with the offer and onboarding process.
· Developing strategies that will contribute to the long-range growth of AWS in the region, implementing processes and standard operating procedures that fit within Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
· Implementing trusted Amazon mechanisms like regular business reviews and written narratives to keep stakeholders informed and drive meaningful discussion that leads to action. This includes developing and communicating robust metrics to track against delivery progress.
· Innovating to launch new initiatives or programs to support the onboarding and integration of early career talent into AWS – thinking big about both candidate experience and the future of AWS’ global workforce.

Job Specification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years work experience in the Talent Acquisition / Human Resources space with experience in managing and building teams.
· Demonstrated success in cultivating strong partnerships, developing strategy, driving process improvement, and delivering results for key stakeholders.
· Works backwards from customer needs and comfortable with writing narratives to influence and drive decision making.
· Experience measuring program impact against pre-defined success metrics, and proven ability to employ data-driven, transparent decision making.
· Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks, run an efficient process and manage time efficiently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous experience around running a campus / MBA hiring program or similar (i.e. university hiring, apprenticeships, and the like).
· Independent problem solver who can set priorities and make high-quality decisions quickly.
· Proven ability to influence without authority and support/represent cross-functional teams across levels, geographies, and cultures.
· Self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit with an understanding of how to use data and calculated risk-taking to drive innovative change.
· Excellent communication skills, paired with sound business judgment and ability to see around corners.
