Our Procurement Operations Manager will have accountability for Procurement in Australia and will work with the Procurement Operations teams at the sites to manage the flow of all non-inventory goods including warehouse supplies, office supplies, corrugate, safety equipment, tools, and material handling requests.
Responsibilities:
• Managing a direct team of 6-10 Procurement Operations professionals with responsibilities across multiple Customer Fulfillment buildings and ensure network-wide standardization for all procurement related processes and FC service activities.
• Manage complex supply chain management aspects of procurement within Amazon in support of Operations as the Lead for Procurement within the fulfillment network
• Coordinating the demand identification, procurement, and inventory management of all non-merchandise items required for the operation of the Fulfillment Center
• Lead and operationalize successful new building launches and retrofits by partnering with the relevant launch teams
• Establishing procurement order streams to match supply with demand on a JIT basis
• Managing supplier relationships and performance to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance
• Develop and utilize metrics to measure operational readiness and non inventory performance
• Manage contract compliance for key categories of spend and suppliers in the region
• Administer and manage local/national contracts for supplies and service by working with central category teams
• Develop and implement plans to achieve annual fixed and supply costs savings
• Issue and manage the Procure to Pay process: requisition, Purchase Orders and help manage Capital Authorization Requests (CAR)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferably in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering
· 7+ years supply chain management experience (e.g. logistics, inventory turn management, forecasting, operations)
· 5+ years of previous managerial experience in a fulfillment center/distribution center environment with management experience of hourly and salaried employees
· 5+ years of experience in Supplier Relationship Management (e.g. SLA/MSA management, contract negotiations, performance management / scorecarding)
· Advanced Analytics and advanced Excel skills
· ERP and procurement tools, including Oracle, Coupa and Ariba
