Job Description
Study all geoscientific data and prepare relevant maps and identify drillable
prospects in association with the geophysicist. Estimate potential
hydrocarbon volumes and their probabilities of success.
- Preparation of prognosis for exploratory and appraisal wells. Monitor the
drilling activities and gather G&G data.
- Well log correlation. Construction of geological cross- sections and
preparation of geological maps utilising well and seismic data.
- Integration of seismic, electro log, well and biostratigraphic data. Deduce
depositional environments and facies distribution.
- Estimation of In-Place Hydrocarbon volumes for discoveries
- Building of geological models and provide input for reservoir modelling
- Recommend G&G data acquisition.
Job Specification
Working knowledge and experience in all G&G activities starting from
exploration through appraisal, development and production.
- Good understanding of Play Concepts.
- Good knowledge and experience with use of workstations in interpretation of
G&G data
- Basic knowledge of quick look log interpretation and Reservoir engineering
