What you’ll be doing
ilmMind is an early-stage Australian startup building AI-powered web and mobile products. We are looking for a full-time Full-Stack Developer to work directly with the founders and help build, improve and scale our applications.
You will work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases and mobile development, taking features from idea through to production. You will also integrate LLM APIs and other AI services into our products.
Our current stack includes React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL/Neon, Git/GitHub, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean and React Native/Expo.
Day to day, you will:
We are looking for someone who is technically capable, eager to learn, comfortable working independently and able to ship quickly.
You will work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases and mobile development, taking features from idea through to production. You will also integrate LLM APIs and other AI services into our products.
Our current stack includes React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL/Neon, Git/GitHub, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean and React Native/Expo.
Day to day, you will:
- Build and improve web and mobile features
- Work across frontend, backend and database layers
- Integrate APIs, LLMs and AI services
- Fix bugs and improve performance
- Maintain and extend existing applications
- Work directly with the founders on product decisions
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, which we provide
- Take ownership of features from idea to production

- Strong experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript
- Good understanding of Node.js and RESTful APIs
- Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Experience with Git and GitHub
- Ability to build responsive production-ready web applications
- Experience with mobile development using React Native, Expo or similar
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs or strong willingness to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and work within an existing codebase
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Clear written English and good communication
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code
- Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned features
