About the role:

As part of the Sales Department in Eagle Farm, this position will report to the Branch Manager to search for new clients in the Australian market to establish a relationship whilst developing growth, handle customer service tasks amp; operations while reporting to amp; assisting relevant stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

  • Business development
    • Obtain new clients at a profitable level
    • Engage with clients continuously to understand new opportunities amp; develop existing opportunities in the Australian market
    • Meet or exceed annual sales targets monthly
    • Make a minimum of 20 legitimate calls per month
  • Operations amp; Customer Service
    • Set up amp; update customer profiles by liaising with operations amp; customer service stakeholders
    • Update CRM system weekly based on sales calls
    • Ensure credit applications are completed amp; follow up the process of approval with the accounts department
    • Answer overseas freight tenders e-mails amp; letters within the specified timeframe
    • Respond to both existing amp; new client requests
    • Assist accounting staff to resolve any client financial disputes
  • Reporting
    • Submit the previous week’s activity reports to relevant stakeholders
    • Assist the Branch Manager with the preparation of the yearly Sales budget

Requirements

The successful candidate:

Essential:

  • Minimum two of business development or related experience
  • Proficient knowledge of all facets of freight forwarding in the Australian market

Desirable:

  • Excellent interpersonal amp; communication skills
  • Sales driven amp; have a goal-oriented approach
  • Basic financial knowledge, preferably in profitability amp; margins
  • Ability to think laterally amp; create effective solutions to problems
  • Conflict resolution skills amp; resilience
