About the role

Learn and grow your design career in one of Australia’s fastest growing art-technology companies, Bluethumb.

Junior Designer working part-time, ~15 hours per week, with scope in increase as the team increases.

Flexible working hours can be accommodated, within the Melbourne/AEST timezone.

The role would suit a recent design graduate designer, or one with 1-2 years design industry experience.

Reporting to the CMO, the Junior Designer would support our Senior Designer on tasks across a range of media including:

* Social media post design - static and video.

* Rollout of video ads working within a design template and creating new templates.

* Video editing in After Effects for ads and our Podcast.

* Developing visual identities for gallery exhibitions and major marketing campaigns.

* Print and digital collateral - flyers, postcards, hero images.

* Other ad-hoc design work

We’re a hybrid company with many of the team working remotely, or from our two physical gallery spaces in Melbourne and Adelaide.

Requirements

* Recent design graduate, or 1-2 years industry experience

* Pixel perfect attention to detail

* Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite: specifically After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as Figma

* Positive attitude, curious and a super fast learner

* Loves problem solving

* Organised, and comfortable working collaboratively via remote communication (Slack) and workflow tools

* Able to work within the Melbourne timezone

* A personal interest in art and design is an advantage.

The final step in our hiring process involves 3 reference calls, ideally with managers you have previously reported to.
