Our Mission

The time we share with our pets is being cut short. Despite medical advancements, they’re getting sicker earlier. They’re dying prematurely. The industry has it backwards prioritising treating symptoms instead of addressing the root cause. That’s where we come in.

At Lyka, we take a preventative, holistic and personalised approach to pet care. We look at the full picture, factoring in the diet, lifestyle and environment of each individual animal.

Requirements

Lyka is growing and we're looking for a hands-on marketer to join our pack! You could be working client-side or at an agency and will have experience in several marketing disciplines such as brand, events, PR and strategic partnerships.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on and lead a diverse range of projects including events, product GTM coordination and partnerships. The role works closely with Lyka’s in-house creative team as well as cross-functional teams such as Ramp;D, Product and Partnerships. What will you do?

  • Drive the implementation of the brand strategy, including liaising with internal teams and external agencies or stakeholders.
  • Identify and seek out unique PR opportunities, which may include writing press releases and gathering information from various areas of the business. This includes, but is not limited to, applying for relevant product, business and people awards.
  • Drive strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders.
  • Take ownership of discrete brand-related projects with support from our Senior Brand Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing.
  • Build Lyka’s brand activations and trade show strategy, including execution of the strategy and cross-functional project management of relevant projects.
  • Live and work in accordance with Lyka’s values and principles at the workplace.

What you'll bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • 3+ years' experience in a broad hands-on marketing role, ideally within a direct-to-consumer start-up/scale-up or agency environment.
  • PR campaign experience.
  • An understanding of brand measurement and analytics.
  • Basic budget management experience - experience managing costs and an understanding of the impact on the bottom line.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strategic thinking, and an entrepreneurial approach toward seeking big ideas.
