Job Description
Are you passionate about agriculture and eager to jump into a career full of training and development opportunities? Rural Funds Management has multiple opportunities for team members who are excited about the ability to work outdoors, in a fast-moving and safety-conscious team on our macadamia orchards. We are looking for farm hands to work on our macadamia orchard at Bauple, Qld. We are seeking someone self-motivated, has a strong safety focus and enjoys working outdoors. Reporting to the Area Manager Southern Orchards, you will be responsible for:
- Working in the de-husking shed to de-husk and sort harvested nuts before shipping to the processor.
- All aspects of farm work
- Operating farming machinery
- Assisting with the herbicide and pesticide application
- Contributing to a positive and productive working environment.
Requirements
- You will hold a C class driver's license (essential)
- You will have experience working on a farm (preferred)
- You will be flexible, reliable and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with the potential for Saturday work)
- A positive, can-do attitude is essential
- A holder of a Chemical Users Certificate (preferred but not essential)
- Certificate II or III in Rural Studies or Horticulture or Agriculture (preferred but not essential)
