About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Designer for a resource development consultancy company.
Key duties include:
- Maintaining and updating information on existing drawings
- Ensuring design quality meets standards and deadlines
- Contributing to engineering projects from concept to manufacture
- Verifying dimensions, nesting, fault finding, and troubleshooting
- Managing documentation of production drawings and bill of materials (BOM)
- Providing high-level customer service for engineering services
Requirements
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Basic understanding of mechanical parts and structural components
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and maintain technical records
- Strong time management skills and ability to work to high standards under tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a similar industry is advantageous but not essential
