The Purpose:

  • Manage business amp; technical project implementations for AP+ business stakeholders.
  • Lead key strategic projects as assigned.
  • Deliver implementations to time, budget and scope.


You will be responsible for:

  • Lead project activity to deliver successful implementations, manage and mitigate business impacts and balance stakeholder needs.
  • Analyse, plan and deliver projects and implementation.
  • Manage contracts such as statement of work and high-level estimates.
  • Work closely with product and technical implementation teams.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships internally and support external stakeholder engagement strategy through effective relationship building and alignment of project activities.
  • Liaise with project sponsors and business owners to ensure support, resource allocation and stakeholder buy in to project activities to meet agreed outcomes.
  • Lead and direct the project teams, providing operational project oversight, including delivery to agreed outcomes, resource planning and management, effective business case development and quality information management. Participate in related program governance activities.
  • Ensure project governance is effective across the project environment and project methodology is consistently applied. Deliver project reporting as required to identify, report on and manage project risks, including contingency planning and risk mitigation.
  • Lead, coordinate and develop the project team, ensuring resources are assigned as needed. Coach and develop project team members and work to build a reputation for successful industry project execution.
  • Support the change program of work to ensure project outcomes realise their full benefit.
  • Manage priorities and allocate resources to meet project deliverables; ensure skills and competency requirements are appropriate to project needs. Ensure resource allocation is aligned to project schedules, milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor project scope at a high level and work with stakeholders to assess, test and refine requirements. Manage change controls to ensure project outcomes are in line with organisational standards and quality expectations.
  • Identify and manage cross-project dependencies and issues.
  • Flexibility regarding meetings outside of normal working hours.

In order for you to be successful in the role, you’ll have:

  • Expertise in project management, and a successful track record in senior project management overseeing enterprise-wide projects, preferably within the payments industry.
  • Experience in working at or with acquirers, issuers, payment gateways, or retailer payment systems.
  • Project leadership experience.
  • Experience in managing small teams.
  • Experience in building and managing customer/client relationships.
  • Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including vendors.
