At Entain Australia amp; New Zealand as a Senior Developer, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to building innovative and world-class features that enhance the user experience and help drive the technical aspects of our Entain Venues Products.
The ideal candidate for this role is a good all-rounder.. Dev, DevOps and DBA, that can use their superpowers to support and replace a legacy codebase.
This role is part of a small team that works on the Entain Venues Products, where you will need to be capable of working independently at times. It is an opportunity to own the end-to-end processes where you will get the chance to contribute your technical expertise to shape user experiences and drive innovation in the online entertainment landscape.
Our Tech stack is primarily Golang, with a variety of different frameworks and languages that will always keep you learning and engaged!
Where and how you can work
This role can be based on the Eastern seaboard in either our Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne office. Your day-to-day
- Creating responsive and adaptive solutions that render and perform well on all devices used to deliver our products
- Implementing and maintaining efficient, scalable and robust code to ensure the smooth operation of our websites Troubleshooting, debugging and implementing long-term fixes to bugs
- Writing and maintaining test coverage
- Executing projects within timeframes and communicating well with all stakeholders
- Absorbing changes in scope or design • Coaching, developing and mentoring Developers within the team
- Nurturing/enforcing and monitoring product technical excellence and high quality
What you'll bring...
- Proven experience with Go or similar compiled, server-oriented languages.
- JavaScript build/test tools (NPM, Webpack, Babel, Jest)
- Excellent knowledge of the mobile industry and the ability to develop our products using the latest device capabilities and trends Desirable
- Exposure to Docker and containerised applications.
- Experience with traditional relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, etc).
- Basic understanding or experience with one or more NoSQL data solutions (MongoDB, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch).
- Understanding of the general concepts of microservices vs service-oriented architectures
