AP+ is intended to create a more efficient and agile payments group, building the competitiveness of Australian domestic payments infrastructure, and delivering significant benefits to Australian consumers and businesses.

The purpose

To bring a targeted and disciplined approach to security design and deployment, identifying risks, and providing reporting to the General Manager of Security as well as the business department heads .

The role works within the Security function, so would require someone who is proactive and analytical with a curious mindset, who can work with business and technical stakeholders to embed security from design to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify security issues and provide solutions.
  • Work with architects, business and development teams to support security in the design stages.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and lead information security team messaging and policies, guaranteeing high level of understanding among entire AP+ teams.
  • Evaluate existing business security strategies and implement improvements.
  • Verify security controls and thoroughly test them.
  • Create system report for presentation with board members and department heads.
  • Maintain current level of expertise to remain relevant with changing field expectations.
  • Plan and lead new information security technology projects.
  • Support business, projects and external customers in maturing security practises and provide advice and support.
  • Strong knowledge of identity management and payments systems required.

In order to be successful, you must have:

  • Relevant certifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline beneficial
  • Five plus years experience in security architecture or relevant information technology field.
  • Strong identity experience
  • High level of knowledge in Cloud security practises
  • Knowledge of payments industry highly beneficial
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
