About the role
We are seeking a passionate and driven Solution Architect to join our team! Reporting to the National Manager IT Services and working closely with the project team, this role is responsible for providing subject matter expertise to diagnose and resolve escalated issues from clients, project stakeholders and the service delivery team, continuously improving design and build standards to ensure client tailored solutions.
Requirements
- Provide Subject matter expertise to diagnose and remedy issues that are escalated by Clients, project stakeholders and/or other members of the service delivery team.
- Act as an escalation point for the Managed Services team or Professional Services team as required.
- Perform quality control checks on client environments or project activities as required.
- Provide input for the future of the technology practice (evaluating vendors, products, solutions, etc.).
- Participate in the initiation and execution of research amp; development (Ramp;D) initiatives.
- Maintain an agile mindset with constant focus on delivering the right solution for the client.
- Assist with providing project scope and designing workflow solutions.
- Assist the Sales team with developing Statements of Work and proposals including solution overview, consulting estimates, hardware requirements, software/license requirements.
- Participate in client meetings in order to help sell products and solutions for your respective technology.
- Participate in training to maintain expert level proficiency in your field.
Who are we looking for?
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing complex Networking and Firewall technologies including (but not limited to):
- Networking and Firewall Technology: Cisco Routers, Switches (Catalyst and Nexus), Fortinet amp; Cisco Firewalls
- Private and Public cloud (Azure/AWS) multi-tenant networking (VRFs)
- VLANs and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.)
- SD-WAN: Fortinet, Cisco
- Load balancing technology: Citrix ADC/NetScaler, Azure load balancer
- Expertise with regards to protocol redistribution and metric manipulation
- WAN and VPN technologies (MPLS, L2 WAN, DMVPN, IPSec VPN, etc)
- Unified Communications and Managed Voice (Cisco)
- Network monitoring systems (SNMP, Syslog, NCM, PRTG)
- Python / PowerShell scripting
- Microsoft Office Suite including Visio
- Certifications:
- Cisco CCNP Routing amp; Switching is required
- CCIE is a strong asset
- Fortinet NSE4 is required
- Fortinet NSE7 is a strong asset
- Highly motivated and proactive
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organisation skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of team
