About the role:

We are looking for a HSE Advisor to develop and provide high quality, innovative, customer focused HSE solutions, systems, and advice. As the HSE Advisor for Victoria you will contribute to the implementation and management of a positive and proactive HSE culture across the company. Activities will include the coordination of a broad range of HSE activities to ensure continued management system compliance and certifications.


Key responsibilities include:

• Work collaboratively towards yours and your team’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) as agreed with management.

• Investigating / recording incidents.

• Undertaking risk assessments and site inspections.

• Identifying potential hazards.

• Determining and implementing ways of reducing risks.

• Support environment, health, and safety policies / strategies.

• Compiling and validating HSE reports against key metrics.

• Assisting in pre-qualification and compliance processes.

• Creating and delivering education and training to a broad group of stakeholders.

• Delivering presentations and contributing to bids and requests for tender.

• Provides support to health and safety meetings internal and external.

• Liaising with relevant authorities.

• Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation.

• Managing the development, maintenance, revision of policies and procedures for the Management Systems such as SWMS/MOP’s SOPS’, EOP’s and their related activities to ensure they continue to be relevant and provide effective management.

• Assisting with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with the HSE Safety Management System and relevant legislation.

• Continuous improvement ideas on improving current processes and procedures.

• Embrace and model CDC’s DNA and Leadership Fundamentals.

• Other duties as direction from time to time.

About you:

• Experience in developing and implementing systems and reporting framework.

• Experience in and a sound understanding of safety in the Construction industry.

• A strong background and understanding of mission critical operations and a proven commitment to health and safety.

Essential:

• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA Security Clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level.
