THE LOCAL BUSINESS

Cruise Whitsundays is an award winning, innovative, and experienced maritime operator, based in Airlie Beach. Our experiences include day and overnight tours throughout the Whitsundays, as well as resort connection services. We are proud to offer Australia’s first underwater accommodation, Reefsuites, on The Great Barrier Reef and exclusive Reefsleep experience at Reefworld moored offshore at Hardy Reef, 40 nautical miles from Airlie Beach.


THE OPPORTUNITY

The Sales and Marketing Executive is an enthusiastic and creative team member and an imperative role within the Sales and Marketing Team at Cruise Whitsundays. Managing all social media and digital marketing platforms, the Sales and Marketing Executive ensures positive maximum exposure of the Cruise Whitsundays brand.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Produce market analysis and sales reports
  • Assist in the delivery of all CWS marketing campaigns and social media content;
  • Manage all online booking engine responsibilities (new agent account set up and support) and liaise with third party stakeholders
  • Online promotions, local agent account support, trainings and events ;
  • Assist with sales calls, trade shows and events
  • Manage all contra accounts and bookings amp; sales administrative tasks;
  • Manage key relationships with social media influencers, media partners and lead suppliers;
  • Host and plan annual influencer events (Reefmeet etc.)
  • Update and maintain website content using WordPress
  • Manage, create and distribute all EDM activity

We have a rare permanent full time position available working Monday to Friday 830am to 500pm at our Port of Airlie Terminal. There may be adhoc hours required for social networking, famils and expos etc.

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and passionate with a demonstrated growth mindset and proven skills in excellent relationship management. Your high-energy and excellent interpersonal skills will be critical to your success, demonstrated through your natural ability to form strong working relationships. You are know for your solution based problem solving skills, organisation and high attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or relevant qualification in Sales amp; Marketing highly desirable;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales and marketing role highly desirable;
  • Previous Experience in sales and marketing in the travel and tourism industry;
  • Experience utilising a social media management platform such as Social Studio, Hootsuite etc;
  • Experience using Marketing Cloud or similar EDM platform;
  • Familiar with Salesforce or similar CRM platform.
