THE LOCAL BUSINESS
Cruise Whitsundays is an award winning, innovative, and experienced maritime operator, based in Airlie Beach. Our experiences include day and overnight tours throughout the Whitsundays, as well as resort connection services. We are proud to offer Australia’s first underwater accommodation, Reefsuites, on The Great Barrier Reef and exclusive Reefsleep experience at Reefworld moored offshore at Hardy Reef, 40 nautical miles from Airlie Beach.
THE ROLE
Our Kitchen Attendants are an integral part of our team supporting the Catering Team with day-to-day kitchen operations to prepare and deliver high quality food for our incredible experiences including our Great Barrier Reef Adventure, Half and Full Day Whitehaven Beach, Camira Sailing Adventure and overnight Reefstays at Reefworld a permanently moored pontoon, located 39 nautical miles offshore on the Great Barrier Reef. The Kitchen Attendant also helps with catering operations for resort connections, private charters, and special events.
In addition to guest satisfaction, the Kitchen Attendant helps maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene.
Your day might include:
- Help prepare high quality food;
- Assist with delivery of stores and stock control;
- Help maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene washing dishes, keeping the workspace clean and tidy.
THE CANDIDATE
To be successful in this role, you must have availability to work rostered shifts generally from 2:00pm until midnight pending on peak periods. You will be a self-motivated multi tasker with great energy. Displaying strong interpersonal skills you will become an integral part of the catering team.

Requirements
- Manual Drivers Licence is highly desirable;
- Relevant experience with strong food preparation and general kitchen skills highly desirable;
- Be flexible to work different shifts e.g. 2 pm start until midnight, leaving you plenty of time to run errands and soak up the sun during the day.
