Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of presentation and taste.
- Develop and create new recipes that meet dietary and nutritional requirements.
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies necessary for cooking.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and execute menus.
- Stay updated with industry trends and techniques to continually improve culinary skills.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Formal culinary training or certification is preferred.
- Experience working in a hotel or resort setting is a plus.
