Our Quality team is looking for a full time Food Safety Quality Specialist to help us grow Marley Spoon.
Your role
You will be responsible in organizing and coordinating the safety and quality of products to our customers through the following:
- Carry out internal audits such as Monthly Food Safety Self-Assessment, Weekly Food Safety Self-assessment, Glass amp; Brittle audit, Thermometer Calibration, Weighing Scale Calibration.
- Carry out sensory evaluation amp; shelf-life tests of products such as dairy, meat, fish, poultry, fresh produce amp; repacked items like grains, pasta, spices and condiments to ensure compliance with Marley Spoon standard.
- Train staff to maintain GMP, conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments, conduct investigations, close out corrective actions and to be aware of the role they play and responsibilities they must ensure safe products and quality.
- Build relationship with other analysts within the business to drive improvements, hold stakeholders accountable, drive and follow up on actions with stakeholders
- Carry out and/or supervise production file checks - Carry out internal FSQA escalations amp; follow up with relevant internal stakeholders on the root cause and corrective actions. - Raise NCR’s to vendors to determine the root causes of the non-compliance and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken. -Report all malfunctions to the operations team to ensure immediate action.
- Monitor packaging amp; labelling with respect to NIP (Nutritional information panel), allergen information, country of origin and BBD (best before date) for existing and new products -Communicate insights, trends, frameworks and recommendations where improvement in process can occur to achieve execution of business strategies - Analyse the data across quality control dashboards, receival records amp; internal audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
This is you
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (food science, food technology);
- High level of integrity and accountability;
- Must be comfortable working independently with minimal oversight;
- Must possess strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills;
- Working knowledge of quality systems, food safety programs, GMPs, food defence, and HACCP;
- Ability to work in a temperature controlled environment;
- Be able to attend work at Altona North, Victoria.
