About the Role
A unique opportunity exists within our Rail business for a Management Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their finance career. The position would suit a results focused individual who is passionate about delivering a high level of financial support to the business. This is a hands-on role, working within the rail operations and finance team.
Key roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Month end accounting and performance analysis
- Assisting with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- reparing monthly reports for business leaders and department managers including Pamp;L’s, cost and labour reports, KPI’s and financial metrics
- Support in inventory reporting and analysis including stocktakes and wastage report
- Provide day to day support and business partnering services to the broader Rail team and ensure clear visibility on cost to drive efficiency and cost control
- Develop strong, collaborative working relationships across Finance and the broader organisation to be the link between head office finance support and the business
· Identifying, developing, implementing documented process improvements
About You
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline and CA/CPA or similar (part-qualified applicants welcome to apply)
- Demonstrated skills and experience in building effective, collaborative partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional Numerical, analytical, reporting and data presentation skills
- Finance system and Financial reporting system experience
- Have 3+ years’ experience in accounting
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with key senior stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
